How does everyone feel about Valentines day? I'm on the fence. I know some people think it's a 'corporation holiday' and a way for couples to rub their relationships in the faces of the unattached but I'm all for embracing a day that's all about celebrating love! It's a bit of a silly tradition and we should be showing love and affection all year round but I don't think there is anything wrong with having one day of the year that is dedicated to love and romance!
If Mr B buys me flowers on Valentines day then I'll admit it, It makes me smiles and it makes me feel special. We don't shower each other with expensive gifts to mark the occasion (I really don't think thats necessary) but we do acknowledge it. I'm not a fan of the obligatory fancy dinner in a restaurant on the day itself but I do like writing a card and buying something small for Mr B to let him know I'm thinking of him. Is it cheesy? sure! Is it harmless? I think so.
So in the essence of embracing Valentines day, I thought I would put together a few inexpensive and thoughtful gift ideas for the men in your lives. There might be a few heart shaped presents ideas in here and I apologise in advance for that.....but isn't that what Valentines day is all about?! Embrace the cheesiness I say!
